Hello boys and girls.  My name is Ms. Goetsch and I teach kindergarten at Jefferson Lighthouse School in Racine, Wisconsin.

The city of Racine is in the southeast corner of Wisconsin.  It is between Milwaukee and Kenosha.  Our city is located on the shores of Lake Michigan, which is one of the five great lakes in the
mid-west.

Here is a picture of my class.  I have 28 students.  There are 14 boys and 14 girls.  In this picture the children are holding up pinwheels that they made earlier this year for the International Day of Peace.  In the weeks and months to come, we hope to learn all about you and Cuenca, Ecuador.  We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.
